Now Playing - Newsies - Chanhassen Dinner Theatres is thrilled to bring its audiences the exciting musical that took Broadway by storm, Disney’s Newsies! With astounding choreography, unforgettable songs and inspirational storytelling, Newsies is a not-to-be-missed, high-energy show for all ages.  Inspired by the real-life Newsboys Strike of 1899 in New York City, Jack Kelly hawks the headlines day-in and day-out with countless other newsboys trying to save enough to make his dreams a reality.  New York World publisher, Joseph Pulitzer, realizes he can maximize profits by raising the price of the “papes” and does so without a word to the “Newsies.” Upon seeing Pulitzer’s greed, the newsboys protest and declare a strike against all the publishing giants.  Realizing it will take more than his friends to make a difference, Jack rallies all the “Newsies” in New York City. Through courage, determination, and friendship the “Newsies” are ready to seize the day and take a stand.  Coupled with dazzling choreography, the unforgettable songs are from Academy Award®-winning composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas), and include: “Carrying the Banner,” “King of New York,” “Santa Fe” and “Seize the Day.”  Don’t miss this ultimate crowd-pleaser, a Minnesota Regional Premiere, nominated for 8 Tony Awards – Including Best Musical!  Running March 2 through September 29, 2018.  Click Here for tickets or call the box office at 952-934-1525.

Desperate, Helen’s family writes to the Perkins Institute and a young, inexperienced Annie Sullivan shows up on their doorstep. A radiant and emotionally-gripping story that will make you believe in miracles!  Running September 14th through October 14th at the Yellow Tree Theatre in Osseo.  Click Here for Tickets or call the Box Office at 763-493-8733.

November 24 thru December 31, 2018 - I'm Listening this Christmas - A musical comedy by Patti J. Hynes McCarthy.  Running the small radio station in his home town of Walnut Lake, Minnesota, is a far cry from Jon Michael's dreams of becoming a big time disc jockey in a top Chicago market, especially managing a group of mismatched, and, shall we say, 'unique' radio announcers.  That, along with taking care of a sick parent, is proving too much for him.  Just as he is about to shut down KMAS, make this Christmas his most depressing ever, a young radio enthusiast appears on the scene, infusing a dose of optimism and Christmas cheer into everyone at the station, and the town!  Laughs, a few tears, some great Christmas music, and a deeper message of what 'success' really means, will delight people of all ages in this musical comedy.  Playing November 24th thru December 31st at Majestic Oaks Golf Club Seasons Dinner Theatre.  Order tickets online at www.majesticoaksgolfclub.com or call 763-755-2140.

February 1 through March 3, 2019 – Flowers for the Room - Allison and Jake have only just begun their new lives as husband and wife when a tragic accident changes everything. Confined to a hospital bed and trapped inside a body that won’t cooperate, Allison hears the world around her, but the world cannot hear her. As weeks turn to months, Jake loses hope of getting his wife back and he is forced to chose between his marriage vows and the life he imagined for himself. Is the love they had before the accident enough to tackle the uncertainty of what lies ahead? One foot in each world, both must decide whether to continue the fight, or to finally let each other go. With a story by award-winning playwright Jessica Lind Peterson and a gorgeous original score by contemporary folk sensation Blake Thomas, Flowers for the Room is a stunning new musical about human resilience and the power of choice.  Running February 1st through March 3rd at the Yellow Tree Theatre in Osseo.  Click Here for Tickets or call the Box Office at 763-493-8733.
